As a Senior Technical Manager, you will be a senior member of the Technical Management team, responsible for leading the technical strategy and managing the pre-construction phase of projects in the North East and Yorkshire regions. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery, risk mitigation, and alignment with project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the pre-construction phase design processes, liaising with clients, design teams, bid teams, and operational teams.
- Manage the technical strategy and deliverables plan for projects, ensuring successful completion of pre-construction phases.
- Identify and mitigate design and technical risks.
- Introduce relevant specialists to the project team at the appropriate stages.
- Ensure designs are properly coordinated and communicated.
- Oversee compliance with regulations and technical obligations, including the Building Safety Act and CDM.
- Manage value engineering and consultant deliverables to align with project requirements.

- Functional: Technical Leader / Technical Director

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualifications: BEng or MEng/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related building services degree.
- Professional Registration: Chartered or Incorporated (or working towards) with CIBSE, IET, IMechE, or similar.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in design-related engineering roles, with experience in healthcare, commercial, leisure, or MOD/MOJ sectors.
- Project Value: Experience managing projects with MEP values from £5M to £50M.
