Project Overview: A major hospital transformation is underway as part of the Hospitals £320m Transformation Programme (HTP). This includes the construction of a new four-storey building, set for completion by 2028. The facility will house enhanced emergency care, critical care, and women & children’s services. The project aims to deliver a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, with construction ongoing while hospital services remain operational.
We are seeking a Mechanically biased Senior Project Manager to contribute to a £320M hospital transformation project by delivering £30m of mechanical works. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring all work complies with healthcare standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with the project team, including electrical and structural engineers, to integrate mechanical systems effectively and oversee subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site mechanical works to maintain quality.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical and structural engineers, for integrated system designs.
- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and problem-solving for mechanical systems.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and procurement of mechanical materials.
- Support testing, inspection, and handover of mechanical installations.
- Provide technical expertise and mentoring to junior engineers and site teams.
