Our client has been appointed as the M&E Contractor to deliver the circa £80m M&E package for the region's first large-scale indoor arena. With a capacity of 19,500, the venue will rank among the UK's biggest, following closely behind Manchester's Co-op Live and AO Arena, and London's iconic O2.
The Lead M&E Commercial Manager will take overall responsibility for the commercial management of the £80m M&E package, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Leading the commercial team, you will oversee contract management, cost control, and procurement while working closely with the Project Team (Mechanical and Electrical) to achieve financial targets and project milestones. You will manage budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports, ensuring the project’s financial health, while also negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure value for money and compliance with specifications. Identifying and mitigating commercial risks will be key, alongside ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and legal requirements in coordination with legal and procurement teams. Additionally, you will provide accurate financial reporting, offer strategic commercial insights to senior leadership, and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
