Mechanical Project Engineer

Our client has been appointed as the M&E Contractor to deliver the circa £80m M&E package for the region's first large-scale indoor arena. With a capacity of 19,500, the venue will rank among the UK's biggest, following closely behind Manchester's Co-op Live and AO Arena, and London's iconic O2.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will oversee the design and installation of key mechanical systems, including HVAC, public health, fire protection, and ventilation, ensuring they align with project timelines, costs, and quality standards. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager (Mechanical), you will coordinate and manage the mechanical team, ensuring seamless execution of project requirements while liaising with electrical, structural, and other engineering disciplines for smooth integration. You will provide technical support during installation, resolving challenges as they arise, while also reviewing and approving mechanical design documentation, submittals, and work packages. Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies will be key aspects of the role, alongside ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Additionally, you will assist in managing subcontractors and suppliers to maintain high-quality work, delivered within budget and on schedule.
