Project Overview: A major hospital transformation is underway as part of the Hospitals £320m Transformation Programme (HTP). This includes the construction of a new four-storey building, set for completion by 2028. The facility will house enhanced emergency care, critical care, and women & children’s services. The project aims to deliver a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, with construction ongoing while hospital services remain operational.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of a £320M hospital transformation project. Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will assist with the design, installation, and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The role involves close collaboration with subcontractors and other teams to support the seamless execution of mechanical works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Ensure work complies with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Support the Senior Mechanical Engineer in overseeing subcontractors and suppliers.
- Conduct inspections, quality checks, and technical assessments.
- Contribute to risk assessments and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
- Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and material procurement.
- Support testing, inspection, and handover of mechanical installations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective integration of mechanical systems.
