Electrical Project Engineer

Our client has been appointed as the M&E Contractor to deliver the circa £80m M&E package for the region's first large-scale indoor arena. With a capacity of 19,500, the venue will rank among the UK's biggest, following closely behind Manchester's Co-op Live and AO Arena, and London's iconic O2.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee the design and installation of critical electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and security, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager (Electrical), you will lead the electrical engineering team, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards while collaborating with mechanical, structural, and other engineering disciplines for seamless integration. You will provide technical expertise during installation, resolving issues promptly and ensuring systems function correctly. Monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing solutions to keep the project on track will be key aspects of the role. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, review and approve design documentation and submittals, and assist in managing subcontractors and suppliers to maintain quality, timely delivery, and cost control.
